Care Infrastructure & Innovation

Care grows through relationships. Strong care ecosystems emerge when people, organizations, institutions, and communities are able to learn from one another, build trust, and work toward shared goals. Our work creates spaces for dialogue, exchange, and collective learning across the care ecosystem. We bring together diverse actors, perspectives, and forms of knowledge to strengthen connections and explore new possibilities for collaboration. Lived experience plays a central role in these processes. By creating opportunities for meaningful participation and mutual learning, we contribute to ecosystems where relationships deepen, collective capacity grows, and new forms of care can emerge.
CARE INNOVATION

Care Policy Builder for Workplaces

At İhtimam, we see care not as an individual responsibility but as a shared organizational commitment. The Care Policy Builder is an AI-assisted tool that helps organizations create care policies tailored to their own context. Through a guided conversation, it explores organizational structures, working practices, and care-related needs, then supports the development of a customized care policy grounded in wellbeing, inclusion, and relational responsibility. Rather than offering generic templates, it helps organizations identify spots, reflect on existing practices, and build more caring, equitable, and resilient workplace cultures.

CARE INNOVATION

Care Network Mapping Tool

Through our Care Network Mapping work, we help individuals and organizations make visible the relationships of care that sustain everyday life. The process reveals networks of support, care, and interdependence, helping participants identify strengths, gaps, and pressures within care systems. Through both a self-guided tool and facilitated workshops, it offers a practical way to better understand and strengthen the relationships that enable people and communities to thrive.

Shadow Care Analyst for Civil Society Organizations

The Shadow Care Analyst is an AI-assisted tool that helps civil society organizations identify hidden care costs within projects, programs, and organizational practices. Based on the concept of the shadow care chain, it analyzes project documents to reveal how care responsibilities, emotional labor, and support work are distributed or rendered invisible. The tool highlights care-related risks, unequal workloads, burnout factors, and overlooked assumptions, helping organizations design more equitable, sustainable, and care-conscious projects and workplaces.

Care Concierge Model

Care consulting is not yet recognized as a distinct professional field in Türkiye. Through the Care Companion Model, we are working to develop an ethical and relational form of expertise grounded in lived experience of care. The model recognizes the knowledge accumulated by people who have cared for children, older adults, people with disabilities, or individuals living with illness, and supports its transformation into a practice of guidance, accompaniment, and care-informed decision-making. Rather than offering standardized solutions, Care Companions help people navigate uncertainty, understand available options, and make sense of complex care journeys in ways that are responsive to individual circumstances. The model also supports workplaces in recognizing, valuing, and responding to the care realities of employees. By transforming care knowledge from an invisible burden into a shared source of expertise, the Care Companion Model strengthens both individuals and institutions while contributing to more caring and supportive communities.

Systemic Care Journey Map

Our work on care infrastructure is based on the belief that care is a vital relational infrastructure that sustains communities and societies. Using the Systemic Care Journey Map methodology, we trace lived experiences of care to understand how policies, institutions, services, and cultural norms shape care journeys. By making structural barriers and hidden patterns visible, the methodology helps identify opportunities for more inclusive, restorative, and care-centered systems.
